Exclusive Carp fishing
Churn Pool is open for Carp fishing from April 1st 2013 – Oct 31st 2013.
Quietly tucked away, Churn Pool is arguably the most exclusive bookable venue on the Cotswold Water Park.
The fishery operates on an ‘exclusive use’ basis, the lake is bookable to groups of no more than 5 anglers at a time.
When you come in, you can shut the gate behind you, forget your worries and fish in peace.
The fishing here as it should be, quiet, undisturbed and challenging.
Churn Pool has a good head of carp, with fish to over 35lb and plenty of doubles and 20lb+ fish. Some of the fish in the lake are over 30 years old, proper ‘Cotswold Carp’!
There is a good mix of commons, mirrors and linears, with many heavily scaled, very distinctive fish.
The fishing should not be described as easy, neither is it particularly hard. Most anglers describe it as ‘pleasently challenging’!
Anglers that think about the fishing and bait application will do well. The fish arent particuarly rig shy, but stealth is of the essence. The fish spend a lot of the time in the margins.
For many years we have kept the fantastic Carp fishing here quiet, due to only having a short season. From April 1st 2013 we will be open full time for our Carp and Course fishing.
Although we are best known for our excellent Carp fishing, we also have specimen fish of many species.
Pike have been caught in excess of 30lb, Roach 3lb+, Perch 3.5lb+ and Bream well into double figures, all of which you are welcome to fish for.

When booking the lake, you have full use of the lake and its facitilities.
There is a proper toilet block with small kitchen area , fridge, freezer, large gas BBQ, and you will have the use of the decking and table and chairs in front of the Lodge.
The use of the Lodge is not included in the price of your booking, but can be hired for a small extra charge.
Access around the lake is good, and if you need help to get your gear around, please ask. We have several swims that are suitable for less abled anglers.

Every booking requires a 50% deposit, with the balance payable upon arrival.
