Churn Pool Fishery

A cracking weekend was had at Churn Pool with many members and Day Ticket holders reaching their limits. Notable mentions go to young James Bowen-Jones with a 5 3/4 rainbow and not so young Ian White with another at 5lbs 7oz. David Orr from Oxfordshire had a very enjoyable afternoon with three between 3-5lbs and Trevor Marsch made a promising return to the water and a good start to the year with a 5 3/4 pounder.

Black lures took the majority of fish with a few falling to buzzers and the odd nymph.

Mid-morning appears to be the most productive time at the moment with constant signs that the trout ar rising from deeper water to take the fly and indeed fry at about 3 feet below the surface.
