WEEKEND OF 20th & 21st February
*****************************************************j******************
Looks like a great weekend with some nice fish brought to the bank up to 6 1/4 lbs. Well done to Bob Hicks for finding one of the Blues David Philips who bagged up on Saturday and Sunday. It was nice to see another hatch or two this weekend and many of the guys catching on Buzzers.
What’s worth a look at the moment? How about Georges favourite Apps Bloodworm……
With the latest hatches, how about a Bristol Hopper…………….

New Stock

We last stocked on 11th February with some fantastic Rainbows averaging 3 1/4 pounds. A mixture of Buzzers and Lures tempted the fish which were initially very deep, but soon started to feed within the first three feet. W/C 15th Feb saw a quiet start with some bagging up and others missing the odd fish. A good bag of tricks could be the way forward to secure a tight line. Wednesday saw a small hatch a few feet from the bank so Buzzers and Diawl Bachs fished gently could be good if the weather isn’t too cold.

We Raise Our Glasses to Martin
Friday 5th will see three years since Mr Churn Pool, Martin Pollard passed away. Due to the unpredictable weather, we’ll be moving the usual gathering and BBQ to a later date but will be pouring a drop of wine for those fishing.

W/C 1st February
Anyone fishing from far afield should note that Churn Pool is largely ices over further to the cold snap on Saturday night. There’s about 30% free with on the west lawn. Although Sunday’s fishing was shoulder to shoulder, almost everyone had fish on the bank including some notable beauties this weekend of 6lb 7oz and another of 9lbs+. (returned)
